These gorgeous earrings are embellished with genuine abalone shell in gorgeous shiny opal-like colours: greens, pinks and creams. Because it's a natural material the colours vary - every pair is unique. They're set in shiny metal and come with silver plated hooks. Origin: Mexico
The abalone shell in our earrings comes from the Mexican state of Baja California on the Pacific coast and is a by-product of the abalone fishing industry. It does not come from California in the USA, where populations of abalone have been overfished.
