These wrist mallahs, known as rudraksha in India and Nepal, are traditionally worn by Hindu holy men or sadhus. This is because they're believed to protect people against negative energies and look after those who spend a lot of time travelling. The perfect gift for the traveller, festival lover or hippy in your life, Mallahs are usually made from 108 beads, an extremely lucky number. This particular style of rosary, worn on the wrist, contains fewer beads so it's more practical, easier to wear, but it comes with the same vibe.
