So a guiro is a traditional Latin American percussion instrument, usually made from a hollow gourd or from wood. The serrated surface crates a brilliant distinctive rasping sound when you scrape it with the stick, adding texture and rhythm to music genres like salsa, cumbia, and merengue. It also makes a great little decorative item, and a nice gift for a grown-up musician or child. Gorgeous colours  and a cute face complete the picture!
