Howlite is a beautiful mineral, and our turquoise howlite heart necklace is a lovely piece of jewellery. The mineral was discovered near Windsor, Nova Scotia, Canada, way back in 1868 and named after Henry How, the respected Canadian geologist. If you believe such things, howlite is supposed to confer protection on people who wear it, providing calm, healing and strength. If you don't believe minerals have special powers, it's still a gorgeous thing!
