Down in sunny Sussex we're being woken up by the birds yelling at dawn. The bees are out and about. It's lighter in the evenings. And last weekend Brighton beach was absolutely rammed with revellers as temperatures soared. It looks like spring has finally sprung. Which means festival season is almost upon us. Excellent.

This is one of our favourite times of year, with a host of brilliant music festivals on the horizon. If the weather gurus' predictions come true it's set to be a hot one.

If you're doing your thing at a festival or ten this summer, you know where to come for cool threads and unique festival fashion. In the meantime, here are our recommendations for some of the best Sussex music festivals for 2014, something for everyone, plus a few tips about fab cheap hippy clothes to see you through the highs and lows, heat and chills.

The best Sussex festivals for 2014... plus cool festival fashion

There's something for everyone in Sussex this summer, whether you want to throw shapes from dawn 'til dawn, mellow out to folk or blues or sample a load of big-name acts. Here are five of our favourites.

Blues on the Farm - "A little piece of the Mississippi Delta on the Chichester Plain"

Forty acres of fields and lovely cool, green woods with the sound of Delta blues wafting your way on the warm May breeze. It's Blues on the Farm and it's an award-winner, voted Best British Blues Festival 2010 by the British Blues Awards, just south of Chichester. It's family-friendly, has a collection of world-class blues dudes on the rosta and is well known for its especially warm atmosphere.

It's not strictly summer in May, so it's wise to take something woolly and cosy, warm festival clothes to ward off goosebumps after dark. How about our unisex ponchos, beautifully snuggly garments that leave your arms free to dance all night?

Love Supreme Jazz Festival - "A classic boutique green field festival"

Fantastic facilities, more than fifty jazz acts - including a bunch of legends - and one of the most beautiful sites you can imagine, with stunning South Downs views. This year Jamie Cullum, Gregory Porter, Laura Mvula and Soul II Soul are headlining, and there's a choice of camping, VIP camping, glamping, campervans and caravans. About as cool as it gets, and jazz fans' newest and hottest July event.

Summer in Sussex gets pretty hot, and the site is sheltered by the Downs. Ladies and girls, you need floaty hippy clothes, flowing, fresh and breezy, colourful and cool. Have a look at our collection of gorgeous hippy dresses.

This year's line-up is yet to be announced, but one thing is certain: it's going to be loud, there will be a top line up of DJs and bands.

When the festival you're going to is likely to be wall-to-wall hoodies, you want something that stands out from the crowd. Our bright, funky hoodies make perfect festival wear... and there's no way your mates will lose you in one of these!
